What stays where.

A house's electricity use shows when you wake, when you leave and what you own. This page lists where that information goes. In short, it stays in your house.

Measurements: Stay on the hub. The sensor sends them over its own radio to the hub in your house, and they are stored there.
Appliance names: Stay on the hub. The names you type are not used to train anything.
The signed record: Stays on the hub until you export it yourself. Verifying it needs only the device's public key, not our servers.
Where the thinking runs: On the hub. There is no model in a cloud that your readings are sent to.
An account: There is none. The hub and the app work without one.

The phone app on your network

Exactly what it does.

Before it looks: It shows a message box explaining the next step, and does nothing if you choose "Not now".
Looking: It asks each private address on the home network it is connected to whether it is a hum. It does not scan mobile-data connections, and it sends nothing to the internet while doing it.
What a hub reveals unasked: That it is a hum, its identity, the name you gave the house, its model and software version. Nothing about your consumption.
Connecting: Requires someone to press Allow on the hub's own screen, which shows the phone's name. The phone then stores the hub's key on the phone.
Removing a phone: Removing the hub in the app deletes the stored key from that phone.

This website

One thing, if you give it.

The waiting list: If you leave an email address, we store the address, the country your connection came from and the time. We send one confirmation now and one email when there is something real to show.
Sending that email: Through Resend, an email delivery service, which receives your address to deliver it.
Fonts, scripts, trackers: Fonts are served from this site. There are no analytics scripts, advertising pixels or cookies.
Leaving the list: Write to info@veltrix.solutions from that address and it is deleted.

If you reserve a device

What the row holds: Your email address, which device you picked, the supply you chose, how many, the note you typed if you typed one, the country your connection came from, and the date. That is the whole row.
What it does not hold: No card details, because no payment is taken. No postal address, because nothing ships yet. No name unless you type one in the note.
Your IP address: Not stored. A one-way digest of it is, so that one connection cannot open hundreds of reservations or send mail to other people's addresses. It cannot be turned back into an address.
Wrong codes: When a code and address do not match, the same digest and the time are kept for one day, so nobody can guess codes by trying thousands. Twenty misses in an hour and that connection waits. The code and address you typed are not kept.
Getting to it: With the code we email you plus that email address, at your reservation. There is no account and no password.
Deleting it: One button on that page. The row is deleted, not marked cancelled and kept.
How long: Until you delete it, or until the first production run is done and the reservation has served its purpose.
